Comment If you don't have time to manage your digital life (Score 1) 24

Something is wrong.

If you have too much to manage in your digital life...
something is wrong.

If you don't understand your own digital life...
something is wrong.

If you think you need something to manage your own life, look in the mirror and ask yourself WHY?

- seriously, it's like people don't want to live their own damn lives.

If they did that in the beginning our rates wouldn't have skyrocketed. That 'infrastructure' to their data centers only helps existing infrastructure if it happens to pass your house on the way to the data center - even then that new line is most likely not upgrading your old trunk line but just sitting next to it.

Moving the goalpost is much easier than moving the Earth. Time is no different, to continue the analogy we have been moving the Earth twice a year for far too long - my clock hands are getting tired.

We can do flexible scheduling for those that need it - we have the technology. Daylight savings nearly half a year is like constantly changing the standard.

Like many people at this point, just pick one and stop changing it.

Consumer protection laws exist for a reason, and modern global drop shipping - er sorry 'retail' - has circumvented those protections.

Unless your car is decades old, that stick shift has reached most non-expressway speed limits by the end of second gear. What's the point really other than your personal bit of fun?

Then you will hit the inevitable bumper-to-bumper stop-and-go traffic and well, that stick isn't fun anymore is it?

When homework worked back in the day before computers did it all for you, homework made the student think about the subject for a second time during the course of the day outside of school. Just thinking about a subject hours later helps reinforce it into your long term memory.

So does the act of writing down notes in class with pen and paper. Now AI just records it for you - never to be seen again.

Schooling used to work for the most part. Now technology has ruined the learning process.
